Two Stops, Or Straight Down Jasper Rd

Ormond has North Rd on its doorstep, so nobody comes to Centre Rd by accident. The people who make the trip come for a specific barber and a cut that still holds its shape in week four. If that is what you are after, it is two stops or about eight minutes in the car.

The Run In

Getting Here From Ormond

By train it is two stops: Ormond, McKinnon, Bentleigh, all on the Frankston line, then a short walk to 375 Centre Rd. By car most people run south down Jasper Rd and turn onto Centre Rd, which is about eight minutes without traffic.

We are not going to pretend Ormond is short of options. North Rd is right there and it has barbers on it. Nobody drives past their own high street for a haircut unless there is a reason, so here is ours: the same barber every visit, a published price, and a shop that has been getting it right on this strip since 2006.

Park behind the shop or in the back streets off Centre Rd. If you are coming down for the first time, book rather than walk in — it makes the trip worth the twenty minutes rather than a gamble on a Saturday.

  • Past North Rd, On Purpose

You have shops closer and we know it. The people who come from Ormond come for a particular barber and keep coming back to the same one. That is the only reason worth making the trip for.

  • Worth Booking Ahead

On a trip this length, book. Name your barber when you do and you will get the same hands next month, which is most of what makes a cut hold its shape.

  • Twenty Years On One Strip

Bentleigh was the first Barber Club, open on Centre Rd since 2006, and it took Business of the Year at the 2026 national awards. Long enough to have learned something.

The Three We Get Asked

Everything else Chairs and the product shelf at The Barber Club Bentleigh

How do I get to you from Ormond?

Two stops on the Frankston line to Bentleigh, then a short walk to 375 Centre Rd. Driving, it is about eight minutes south down Jasper Rd and onto Centre Rd, with parking behind the shop.

Why would I come to Centre Rd when North Rd is closer?

For a quick tidy-up, you would not, and we would rather say so. The trip is worth it if you want a barber you can book by name and keep, a fade that still reads properly in week four, and a price you knew before you left. If that is not what you are after, the closest chair is the right one.

Can I book the same barber each time from Ormond?

Yes, and on a trip this length it is the whole point. Pick your barber when you book and you will get them again. If they are away, whoever takes the chair will have your notes rather than starting from scratch.
